Weir is an excellent trap for perch.
Thin places in rushes, edge of the rushes and ranges of rocks are great places to weir. Quiet water areas in a river are also excellent places.
It is possible to fish pike with weirs all around the year but the best weir fishing season is during spawning time in spring.
